It was fine weather when we arrived in Tbilisi for a week’s travel around the country center. The tour guide arrived at the airport early to assist us; in choosing the right SIM card to buy and the best exchange rates for local currency.
We jumped straight away around the streets to start our adventure in the cityscapes on the same day and made a list of places to visit.
A long journey the next day to Kazbegi roughly 3 to 4 hours away from the city and at the same time you will be able to experience the amazing scenery at each stop like Zhinvali Dam; a huge man-made built a long time ago, Ananuri, Gudairi, Arch of Friendship monument, and after Gergeti Trinity Church which is located on top of the mountain.
Every afternoon after the tour, we like to walk around the streets to find the best local foods that they have near our hotel. Our place is located beside the hill where you will find grocery stores, kebab and shawarma stops, and small cafeterias.
A day after the long journey, we went to Diamond in the Sky in Dashbash Canyon a newly opened tourist attraction years back 2 hours away from Tbilisi center. They have some exciting rides, panoramic scenery, and a thrilling hike down the canyon which is perfect for those guys who love hiking.
In Kakheti region, we went to the biggest winery to buy some wine and, to have a little insight about the place, lectures about the production of wine, how they made it, tasting, and small master class activities for the visitors.
After that, an hour’s ride directly to Sighnaghi for lunch and to visit the Fortress Wall that was made hundreds of years back; guess during the medieval period?
So many fun activities during the morning hike in the city, we tried the sulfur bath in one of the biggest spas near our place, visited Lumeir’s Chimney Cake for dessert in the busy city center, had time to go to mall, had beer night, and bought souvenirs before heading back to Abu Dhabi for the next day.
Kindly check some of the things we had during our vacation.
