Open Windows Troubleshooter.
- Click on the ‘Start‘ at the bottom-left corner and select Settings.
- Click on ‘Update and Security‘ and find the Troubleshooter option.
- Click Run the troubleshooter option to fix the issues, and restart the computer.
Turn On Windows Automatic Updates.
- Go to Control Panel, then select Administrative Tools.
- In the Administrative Tools, select Services.
- Find Windows Update, and click.
- In the properties, locate Startup Type and choose Automatic.
- Click OK.
If the status installation is too long, open the command prompt, and restart the services in sequence.
- net stop wuauserv
- net stop cryptSvc
- Then net stop bits
- net stop msiserver
- net start wuauserv
- Then net start cryptSvc
- net start bits
- net start msiserver
After that, manually reset Windows Update components.
Sometimes you need to restart the computer to continue the updates.
